Lone Oaks Angus is a dedicated breeding program committed to designing genetics that will make a positive impact on the beef cattle industry. We have executed on the "Right Combination" of superior genetic seed stock and the experienced and dedicated people to get the job done. Our philosophy has been and will continue to be to utilize proven genetics in combination with the latest technology available to our industry. From our donor arsenal, to the proven AI sires utilized in our intensive AI and ET programs, quality always comes first.

We are always focused on our customers’ needs and strive to provide genetics they can invest in with confidence. We believe that it is imperative to use the most proven AI sires available – at the same time we occasionally push the envelope with younger AI sires on a limited basis in an effort to progress our genetic program even further. In both our spring and fall-calving programs we synchronize every female that will be bred. Our approach of utilizing a combination of only a few AI sires each season and tightening our calving window through synchronization, leads to more consistency with each calf crop.

We have built the Lone Oaks Angus cow herd by investing in the genetics from the breed’s most proven programs. Our genetic investment philosophy has always been to add elite genetics to the program that we can put into our embryo transfer program or young females that combine the proven genetics required to someday put them into the donor pen. In order to become a Lone Oaks Angus donor, certain stringent requirements must first be met:

• Have genetics to add value to the industry.

• Have proven that she is worthy of mass production – since the majority of her offspring will go back into the Lone Oaks Angus herd.

• If we feel a young unproven female is worthy of becoming a donor then she must be backed by generations of proven genetics.
