Lone Oaks Farm lives up to its name in timber investment. Large forests of deciduous hardwoods and loblolly pine cover the hills and hollows. White oaks, red oaks, hickory, sycamore, maple, beech, river birch, and tulip poplar are among the most plentiful hardwood species found at Lone Oaks. The farm has planted a grove of 500 specimen black walnut trees. Old growth pine is found throughout the farm and newer loblollypine forests are over 15 years old and will soon be ready for thinning.
